Bunad shoes are usually outside of our specialty, but as a service to our customers in the U.S., we now cooperate with "Loitegaard shoes". The family Loitegaard has been working with shoes for almost as long as we have been working with bunad jewelry; over a hundred years. We have known the family Løitegaard as knowledgeable, skilled, hard-working, friendly and respectable people for generations. When you order shoes, we go to Løitegaard and buy them for you.
Shoe sizes are slightly different in Norway than what you are used to. If you have a wide foot -as most Norwegians, the Klaveness shoe will be comfortable. If you have a narrow foot, the Folklore shoe might be more fitting for you. Measure your foot by placing it on a piece of paper. Draw a line in front and at the back, and measure the distance between the lines. Write us the measurement, and Loitegaard will help us find your size.
