Sotra lady

The Sotra Bunad has strong contrasts in color, and like most of the Bunads from the western Norway, has a sort of renascence cut. The silver is often gilded and preferably with red rocks. It is common with a neck pin with rather long pendants, about 5-6 cm with cross leaves. Married women may carry a plaque belt with a buckle, everything gilded. In the waist piece there's simple eyelets threaded with a silver chain, everything is silvered.
